Welcome to my website! As a pianist, music has always been the inner-core of my life. I am deeply gratified to have a virtual home in which I can share my music, thoughts and memories but the real praise must go to the composers who have left behind their great music. I am solely the medium which allows the composer’s intentions to blossom and spring to life.
Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.
– Victor Hugo
In addition to performing, it has always been my most passionate desire to share personal experiences of making music with my audiences, with the hope that I may inspire them to new heights. I invite you to browse through my latest online diary entries where you can join me backstage in my journey into the glorious world of piano music. I also believe that the whole notion of performing live can be and should be a mutually rewarding experience where both the audience and the pianist can discover new truths about themselves while revealing their very own emotional truths to the foreground.
As much as I confess to spending long, arduous hours alone in dialectic reflection analyzing and re-analyzing a score, with all its harmonic changes, rhythmic complexities, tonal color, motivic relationships, methods of articulation, etc., I would never develop to my full potential if it wasn’t for the masterful teachers and highly-gifted colleagues/pianists who have gently and patiently guided me in the right direction.
By collaborating with many other great musicians, whether through concertos, chamber music or vocal accompaniment, I have been able to awaken my own internal voice while liberating the rhetorical dimensions found in music. Years of working with singers has taught me how to sing internally through a piece of music just as a great singer does externally.
Without getting too technical for this short introduction, above all, I would like to continue being an inspiration and support to all of my fellow colleagues, audiences, and sponsors whether it be through concerts, recitals, lectures, discussions or stimulating conversations.
